For generations, Ascension Lutheran Church has been a beacon of faith, community, and support in Fond du Lac. Through seasons of change and growth, God has faithfully guided the congregation and opened doors for ministry and service. Now, Ascension is being called to look toward the future with faith and purpose.

The “Building Our Future” Mission Enhancement Campaign is an opportunity for the congregation to make a lasting investment in the ministry of Ascension Lutheran Church. This campaign is about more than buildings, budgets, or financial goals. It is about sharing God’s love, strengthening families, reaching the next generation, serving the community, and ensuring that Ascension’s ministry remains strong for years to come.

Every member has a role in building that future. Through prayer, participation, and financial commitment, the congregation can take a bold step of faith together—strengthening the church today while preparing the way for generations to come.

Our Threefold Vision

  • Youth and young families are not simply the future of the church—they are the church today.

    The Building Our Future campaign will provide funding for a full-time Youth and Family Ministry position, creating dedicated leadership for programs that nurture faith, build community, strengthen relationships, and support parents.

    The campaign also will establish a year-round stewardship program designed to grow a stronger culture of generosity, with the goal of supporting the Youth and Family Ministry position through the general budget within three years.

  • Eliminating the church’s remaining mortgage will allow Ascension to redirect significant monthly resources toward ministry rather than debt.

    With financial freedom comes greater flexibility to strengthen ministry programs, make needed campus improvements, and expand outreach to the community.

  • In keeping with Ascension’s rich Lutheran heritage and commitment to serving others, 10% of every dollar raised through the Building Our Future campaign will be dedicated directly to benevolence, supporting mission partners and addressing critical needs in the community and beyond.

    As Ascension builds its future, it will also help build a better future for others.

The Building Our Future campaign gives Ascension Lutheran Church an opportunity to honor its ministry while faithfully preparing for what God may be calling it to become. The future will not be built by one person or one family. It will be built together.

Through prayer, generosity, and a shared commitment to the mission of Ascension Lutheran Church, the congregation can create a lasting legacy of faith and service.

The invitation is simple: pray about what God is calling each person to give, consider the impact that generosity can make, and join together in building a stronger future for Ascension Lutheran Church.
